Toning Your Skin

Each of us is born with a unique skin tone. When we were little, our skin is almost perfect- soft and with even tone. But as we age, comes the discoloration of the skin. The most common causes of this skin problem may be due to excessive sun exposure, the kind of food that we eat, acne scars, pigmentation due to a medication, and early usage of beauty products that contains harsh chemicals that burns the skin. This discoloration is caused by an increase in melanin (the natural pigment of the skin responsible for our skin, eye, and hair color) production. Too much melanin causes dark spots that make our skin tone uneven and hypes the look of aging.
Recovering the baby like skin may not be possible but by making a big step to lifestyle change, proper skin care (regular exfoliation, use of sunscreen and moisturizing products), and consulting a dermatologist, you can achieve and improve your skin texture and tone.
It helps when you drink lots of water to hydrate your skin well and it also aids in cleansing the skin inside out. Make it a habit to include fruits and vegetables that are rich in Vitamins C, A, E, and K, in your diet. These vitamins are responsible for the renewal and repair of damaged skin.
Cliché but as many people say, prevention is better than cure. Thus, to lessen the effects of sun exposure, use sunscreen to help protect your skin. Exfoliate to remove dead skin cells and avoid crumping of dark spots. Always moisturize after exfoliating to prevent dry skin and even out skin tone while keeping it smooth.
With these tips in toning uneven skin complexion, ladies may no longer need full coverage makeup to look gorgeously flawless, day and night.
